Power ministry bets Rs 1,000cr on energy-smart MSMEs

The power ministry has launched a ₹1,000-crore ADEETIE scheme to encourage MSMEs to adopt energy-efficient technologies. It offers interest subvention on loans, 5% for micro and small enterprises, and 3% for medium enterprises. The scheme will be rolled out in phases, starting with 60 industrial clusters in FY26, and aims to catalyse ₹9,000 crore in investments.
